 We have a project at each of these meetings which you are welcome to join in or continue with your own work.

These are not taught sessions but there is always someone available to help as required.

They are suitable for beginners or experienced beading group members. Do get in touch if you would like further information.

 


 Heather Kingsley Heath   OCULI BRACELET  

Tuesday April 17    10am to 4pm    Fee £45   

 

OCULI is a richly textured set of bezelled dome beads with intersecting panels. These two elements are linked together, to create an ornate statement bracelet or bangle, inspired by the decorative Oculus domes of ancient Byzantine architecture.

 Students can choose to make a bangle or a more closely fitting bracelet.

In class we will also look at ways to use the motifs to make a pendant.

Skill level: Intermediate. Must be confident with thread tension.

Techniques: Albion stitch, surface decoration

Three organic leaf shapes are joined at the beginning ends of the

leaves to form the central component of this design.

Using a fun technique of color grading really makes this design shine

A beautifully bezeled cushion cut CZ adds the elegance to this

design and just the right touch.

A variation of RAW is used to create a fabulous strap ending in two

lovely buttons and a button connector.

Workshop: This is a one-day workshop

Skill level: Intermediate to advanced
